Garlic medical recipes

Some of garlic medical recipes:

1. Oil of Garlic, is used to treat or improve your state whatever ailment you have. Garlic is purported to treat - internally and externally.

Dosage: A few drops to two teaspoonfuls three to four times daily.

2. Infection: When people have medical emergencies and there is no doctor around, a bulb of garlic can be a lifesaver - literally, if you know how to use it. Crushed raw garlic is a very powerful antibiotic, but it must be applied to the site of the infection to be effective. It will burn like fire for a minute or two but it is the best way to kill staph without medicine. Most importantly, garlic will still kill strains of staph that have become immune to modern antibiotics because it kills in a different way and the bacteria cannot become immune to it, But it must be applied in one form or another to the site of the infection. It is best to let crushed raw garlic set for 7 or 14 minutes before using so that it can form the maximum amount of allicin in order to have greater antibacterial properties

3. Yeast Infections:

Another of the very potent garlic health benefits includes the treatment of yeast infections. As well as being a natural antibiotic, garlic is also a powerful natural antifungal agent that fights against fungus and yeast.

Taken both internally and externally, garlic helps bring quick relief to the terrible itching and discharge of yeast infections.

For internal use, insert either the pure garlic oil from capsules or use a freshly peeled garlic clove, replacing every few hours. It is best to catch a yeast infection early on, preferably before the itching starts, when clearing it up will be easier and quicker.

For easier removal, sew a string through the middle before inserting a fresh garlic clove. Because of the strong smell and also the strong taste that often builds up in the mouth, it is easiest to treat with garlic at nighttime before bed.

For most internal problems, eating garlic raw is probably the most potent way to take it. However, due to the obvious lingering odors associated with this, a tincture can be made by soaking 1/4 pound of peeled and separated garlic cloves in 1/2 quart of brandy. Seal tightly and shake every day. Strain and bottle after two weeks of this, and take in drops - 25-30 a day, if desired.

4. Toxic water:

Crushed raw garlic can be used to kill bacteria and other tiny life forms such as E. coli in contaminated water when there is no other water available. Just crush it and let it wait as above and then mix it into a bottle of strained water and let set for an hour or two or overnight to have time to kill as many of the bacteria as possible. While it will not make the water taste any better and there may be things in it garlic doesn't work on, like oil, it's at least less toxic than before and if death is the alternative, less toxic is preferable to more toxic. Garlic's antibiotic properties also make it useful for sterilizing things like dishes, pans, etc.

5. For cough, flu, and respiratory ailments, make a cough syrup out of garlic. Slice 1 pound of fresh garlic and pour one quart of boiling water over it. Let sit for 12 hours, then add sugar until you reach the consistency of a syrup. Add honey for better taste, if desired. Also it is helpful for treatment of other ailments.

Dosage: One tablespoon, three to four times taken between meals daily. Children: One teaspoonful or more according to age.

6. Primarily the same formula mentioned above but sweetened with glycerin and honey instead is used for asthma, bronchitis, catarrhal conditions, phthisis, tuberculosis, coughs, dyspnea, heart weakness, internal ulcerations, etc.

Dosage: One teaspoonful to one tablespoonful, three to four times daily between meals.

Aromatic vinegar is used to cover the pungent odor and taste of garlic and as an aid to flatulence.
It is good for those who cannot stand the taste and smell of garlic.

7. Eczema, pityriasis, psoriasis, ulcers, cancers, swollen glands, tubercular joints, necrosis, etc.

Externally: Saturate lint or cotton and apply over the area; cover with plastic or wax paper, and secure with adhesive tape; change two to three times daily.

Dosage: Internally, one teaspoon three to four times daily, until the affections disappear.

8. Mexican recipe against flu/cold:

a) Cut a garlic cube into quarters and add to two 2 quarts of water. Boil on low flame for at least one hour. Strain and sip slowly. Believe or not, this warm garlic soup has a very pleasant taste!

b) For sore throat, make a garlic tea by steeping several cloves of garlic in half a cup of water overnight. Hold your nose and drink it.

c) Colds. At the onset, place a clove of garlic on each side of the mouth between the teeth and cheek. The cold will disappear within a few hours or a day.

9. Sore throat, acne or herpes, cough - garlick honey is the remedy.

Ingredients: Garlic cloves, honey.

Peel garlic cloves and put them in a jar. Add honey, a little at a time over a couple of days until the jar is full. Set in a warm window for 2 weeks to a month or until the garlic has turned somewhat opaque and the entire garlic flavor has been transferred to the honey.

This garlic honey is an excellent cough syrup. Just take a teaspoonful every couple of hours or whenever it seems necessary. You must remember though, that the honey has a lot of concentrated garlic power in it and one teaspoonful can represent many cloves of garlic. If you are giving this syrup to a child, you should dilute each spoonful with a bit of water. Garlic honey also soothes a sore throat. As an application for acne or herpes it has no equal because it is both healing, soothing and slightly anesthetic. Some cooks like to baste their chicken with this garlic honey mixture.

10. To get rid of worms insert a peeled bulb of garlic as high as possible into the rectum. Do this just before retiring at night and it will come out with the first bowel movement in the morning. (This is also a fine aid in adjusting high blood pressure and low blood pressure). Many mothers find it easier to insert the peeled button of garlic (into the child's rectum) after the child is asleep at night.

11. Removal of unwanted growths called moles, or warts. Take a bulb of garlic, slice or cut in two, and place the cup area over a wart of mole. Tape it on, and as it dries out put a fresh piece. The cut garlic area should not be much larger than a mole or wart. Many users have reported good results. Using garlic extract one to two times a day on your warts will also effectively eradicate them in one to two weeks. Since garlic is also antiviral, and warts are caused by a virus, it’s a natural herbal remedy choice for those looking to get rid of their body of these unsightly growths.

12. Nasal/Rhinitis (clogged and running nose), apply the garlic into the nostrils and take the garlic internally.

13. Tuberculosis, whooping cough. Inhale the vapors of the freshly expressed juice that has been diluted with quantities of water.

18. Asthma, whooping cough, cough, pneumonia, smallpox, bronchitis, dyspnea, etc. When there is a spasm, give one teaspoonful of the syrup with or without water every 15 minutes until the spasm is controlled; then give one teaspoonful of the syrup three to four times daily. Use the foot poultice. Mix the freshly expressed juice with leaf lard and rub on chest, throat and between the shoulder blades.

19. Skin diseases. Rheumatic pains. Rub the affected areas with cut garlic; or massage in garlic oil.

21. Earache, inflammation of the middle ear, ear disease:

Pack a small clove of garlic in gauze and place into the external ear passage; or drop four to five drops of oil into the ear channel, put over this a piece of cotton and keep warm. You may add a few drops of B & B Tincture also.

Or slice a garlic clove, heat briefly in a small amount of virgin olive oil, and let cool. Then use a drop of two in the affected ear (strain the mixture beforehand, of course).

22. Pimples

Rub several times a day with garlic; the visible eruptions will disappear without leaving a scar, but this does not remove the cause. Purify the skin by cleansing the blood.

23. Wounds

Garlic placed on the lip of unclean wounds will cleanse them in four to five days; grated garlic placed near the most virulent bacteria will kill them in five minutes.

24. Lip and mouth diseases (ulcers, fissures, etc.):

29. Foot poultice: Remove the outer membranes of the cloves of garlic; chop it up finely and mix one part garlic to one part petroleum jelly, enough to cover the bottom of each foot; with a thickness of about one fourth inch (for children use one part garlic to three part petroleum jelly). Apply olive oil to the feet first then spread on the mixture; bandage each foot with soft cloth, place in plastic bags, then cover the feet with the socks to prevent the poultice from being kicked off during the night. Remove the poultice in the morning, or retain it longer if desired. Always apply olive oil to the skin first to act as a barrier between the skin and the garlic. Do not use where the skin is irritated or extremely delicate, as it can cause blistering. This poultice is used to heal the entire body.

30. Vaginal Infection: A woman who suffers from frequent yeast infections knows the feeling well. The first day, she feels just a tickle of itchiness that comes and goes. The next day, or sometimes two or three days later, the vaginal discharge starts to look white and lumpy like tiny bits of cottage cheese. By this time, she has a full-blown yeast infection and the lips of the vagina are often red and sore.

If a woman can pay attention to the first tickling of the yeast infection, she can use the following treatment. Take a clove of fresh garlic and peel off the natural white paper shell that covers it, leaving the clove intact. At bedtime, put the clove into the vagina. In the morning, remove the garlic clove and throw it in the toilet. The garlic often causes the vagina to have a watery discharge. One night's treatment may be enough to kill the infection, or it might have to be repeated the next night. Continue one or two days until all itchiness is gone. The reason that the treatment is done at bedtime is that there is a connection between the mouth and the vagina. The moment the garlic is placed in the vagina, the taste of the garlic travels up to the mouth. Most people will find this strong flavor annoying during the day, so the treatment is recommended for nighttime.

If the infection has advanced to the point that a woman has large quantities of white discharge and red sore labia, it can still be treated by garlic but with a higher dose. Use a dry tissue to remove some of the discharge, then take a clove of garlic and cut it in half. Put it in the vagina at bedtime and repeat this for a few nights. If there is no improvement, she might consider a conventional over-the-counter treatment because it is a shame to suffer for many days. Remember that a woman should never douche during a vaginal infection. Yeast loves water and any water will make it grow faster.

Any cut in the clove makes the activity of the garlic stronger. Thus, the more of the inside of the clove that is exposed, the higher the dose. Each woman should learn the dose that works best for her, from the lowest dose, an uncut clove, to a clove with one or more small fingernail slits, to a clove cut in half.

If a high dose of garlic, a cut-open garlic clove, is inserted in a healthy vagina, it will often "burn" the healthy skin. When the woman is suffering from an advanced yeast infection, the skin is already red and "burned" and the garlic cures the infection by killing the yeast. Then the skin repairs itself.
